Northern Lights, Canoe, Lake Reflection

This is a stunning, long-exposure night photograph capturing the ethereal beauty of the aurora borealis (northern lights) over Leech Lake, Minnesota. The green hues of the aurora ripple across the horizon, reflecting off the still surface of the lake, creating a surreal, almost dreamlike atmosphere.

In the foreground, there’s a canoe resting on the shore, partly in the water, with a single paddle leaning against it. The canoe adds a human element and sense of peaceful solitude to the scene. Large stones and grass surround the canoe at the edge of the water.

Above, the sky is filled with countless stars, and you can even see part of the Milky Way galaxy stretching across the sky. The clarity and sharpness of the stars, combined with the glowing aurora, make this image a breathtaking example of astrophotography.
